Busy Weekend...

SATURDAY

Well, we had a busy weekend filled with hockey and good ole' South Dakota weather. On Saturday I took Joel to the Huron Mite Hockey Tournament the 1st game was at 12:30pm and the 2nd game was at 5:00pm. The news had been predicting freezing rain along with 2-4 inches of snow, and I guess no travel was advised. You would assume that they would cancel the hockey tournament, BUT NOPE, if you can't drive to it, you better skate to it... So off we went. We made it to Huron safely, but once we were there I had a feeling that we would be staying. There were a couple parents that were planning on driving home, but then they decided to get a room instead. The stubbornness in me, thought nah, I can make it home... Joel's first game was against the Sioux Falls Flyers, who looked to be as big as me... so needless to say it was like 30-0...I will let you guess who had 0... The second game was against, Huron C, which was a more evenly skilled game...They don't keep score, but the kids all had a great time during that game.. When we were done, Joel and I headed out for home. We made it alright, it was only bad in spots..

Jeremy didn't come along because he worked at Pro Lube and Jerett had a birthday party to attend along with his own hockey schedule for the day. Jerett got to go to Pizza Hut and then to the movie Bedtime Story with his friends. After the party Jeremy took him to his hockey scrimmage and then went and picked up Jerett's buddy, Joseph. This was another reason why it was so important for me to get home. Jeremy wasn't all impressed that I had a sleepover planned...hahaha...
SUNDAY
Everyone got up and got ready and we headed out again. First taking Joseph home, and then quick breakfast from Burger King, and off we went back to Huron for the 12:15pm game. The weather was fine today and we went, played hard and came back home...yeah! The afternoon has been filled with a nap or two and that's about it...
